Green woodwork is a collection of traditional crafts all concerned with working timber before it has fully dried. Typically the crafts are practiced with hand tools and traditional devices.
For me green woodwork is a way of working with the materials I have at hand in a low impact way. My aim is to use as little electricity as possible in the creation of my items. I source my wood sustainably from forestry and land management activities in the local community as well as harvesting hazel in the family woodland.
Talking and demonstrating to the public I am keen to try to show that there are alternatives to modern mass production culture.
