A traditional Eastern European Roma style spoon. These spoons were purchased in a Hungarian barn sale and came to me via a Antiques dealer. They are likely to have been made by a Romanian craftsmen in the latter half of the 20th Century but their provenience is unknown.
Each spoon has deliciously curved bowl and neck running into a thin kite shaped handle. The tool marks are pronounced on the back of the bowl and there are small chip carving details on most of their necks.
Restored and painted with Milk Paint they are larger than a standard dessert spoon. Excellent for either serving, eating soups or broths and cooking with the pointed bowl shape easily reaches into the corners of saucepans!
The colour options remaining are light Sage green and light Powder blue. All have a white base coat and have been lightly rubbed back to reveal the base coat at the edges. Please select your desired colour from the drop down menu.
Finished with cold pressed linseed oil they can be washed with soapy water.
